Mary Strickland

Today (2/6/07) Mary started her next round of therapy. To begin they took an MRI. The results are good. Very little evidence of what might be any tumor left. Considering how fast it had grown between surgeries, which were only a few weeks. Compared to now three months latter. It is good news. It’s not over yet. For three days she will have a four hour chemotherapy drip called BCNU. Along with five days of Temodar pills at night. They are also talking about introducing a BIO therapy into the treatment. This will be long term therapy on top of everything else they are doing. It is probably a three year therapy. The drug in question is Thalidomide. It is somewhat controversial. I am getting all the information I can on it. We need prayers about this treatment. We do have some options, but this is the oncologist’s first choice. Please keep praying, we need some guidance and peace about how to proceed. On a lighter note, looks like Mary can drive starting in April. (The six month rule of thumb deal).

God bless and thank you for you prayers and support.
